Who We Are
HQ Career is a managed reverse-recruitment service operated by Darren Miller. Our website is hqcareer.org. When this policy says "we," "us," or "our," it means HQ Career. When it says "you," it means anyone who visits hqcareer.org or submits information through our contact form.
What Information We Collect
We collect only what you give us. When you submit the consultation request form, we receive:
- Your full name
- Your email address
- Your current title and company (if provided)
- Your situation (laid off, employed, exploring, or offer stage)
- Any additional context you include in the message field
We do not run analytics trackers, ad pixels, session-recording scripts, or third-party behavioral tracking tools on this site. We do not purchase data about you from any data broker.
How We Use Your Information
The sole purpose of collecting your information is to respond to your consultation request. Specifically:
- To contact you to schedule your free 30-minute consultation
- To prepare for that call based on your situation and role
- To follow up if you become a client
We do not send marketing emails. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit request. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to your engagement with us.
Email Processing — Emailit
When you submit the consultation form, your information is transmitted to Emailit (emailit.com), a transactional email service we use to deliver form submissions to our inbox. Emailit processes your submission in transit to deliver it as an email. It does not store your personal data for its own purposes. Their privacy policy is available at emailit.com.
We do not use any other third-party email service providers, CRMs, or marketing automation platforms to process your data.
Cookies and Tracking
This website does not set tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any equivalent. If the site sets a cookie at all, it is a functional cookie required for the page to operate — it contains no personally identifiable information and is not shared with third parties.
Data Retention
We retain consultation request submissions in our email inbox for as long as they are relevant to an active or potential client relationship. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so promptly. See the "Your Rights" section below.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party — ever. Not to recruiters. Not to employers. Not to data brokers. Not to advertisers.
This is not qualified by carve-outs. It applies unconditionally.
Disclosure to Third Parties
The only third party that touches your data is Emailit, described above, and only in the course of delivering your form submission to us. We do not otherwise share your information with any third party except where required by law — in which case we will notify you to the extent permitted.
Security
All data transmitted between your browser and this site uses TLS encryption (HTTPS). Form submissions are transmitted to Emailit over an encrypted API connection using a private API key. We do not store form submission data in any web-accessible database.
Children
This site is intended for professionals and executives. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have done so, we will delete it immediately.
Your Rights
You have the right to request:
- Confirmation of what information we hold about you
- Correction of any inaccurate information
- Deletion of your information from our records
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@hqcareer.org. We respond within two business days.
Changes to This Policy
If we materially change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We will not change this policy in ways that reduce your rights without giving you notice.
